Changing rules

I told my friend T. about this habit I was trying, as I was leaving work at around 9pm last night. She asked "for how long?" and I realized I don't really want to do this one every day, forever. I just want to work on getting better at talking to people (guys) I don't know. So I stopped at Jewel (grocery store) on the walk home, and although there was a cute guy reaching for the fuji apples when I was, I didn't say anything.

I got home and watched the rest of the Jesse James movie (which was OK, but too long) and thought about forcing myself to go back out and go to the store again, but I didn't. In other words, last night I already failed at my mission. BUT: I decided to change it to something a bit more doable, which is to do it at least 3 times a week. For the month of April, for now. I'll report in on my successes.

But because I am messing with Habit #1, I'm going to go ahead and add Habit #2 to the mix starting today. Pushups. Here's a pic of my first go at them, above. I did about 6. Note Lois's tail above my head. She really thinks pushups are funny.

I was on a kick to make myself do push-ups about a year ago. I found that starting out just doing 5 a day until I got stronger meant that I would do them more often, than if I tried to do too many.

Yes, I am limiting to 5 for now. Do you still do them?
